This website is operated by Snap-D Australia. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Snap-D Australia. Snap-D Australia offers this website, including all information, tools, and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies, and notices stated here.

By visiting our site and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/or contributors of content.

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.  You understand that your content (not including credit card information), may be transferred unencrypted and involve (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices. Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks.

The headings used in this agreement are included for convenience only and will not limit or otherwise affect these Terms.

Snap-D Australia specialises in the manufacture and sale of innovative half-turn shackles.

4.1 Technical Specifications: Our shackles are manufactured from 304 stainless steel and feature a patented captive pin design. While our products are engineered for high-performance towing, users must adhere to the specific load ratings (ATM) laser-engraved on each product.

4.2 Australian Standards & VSB 1: Snap-D shackles are designed to be transport compliant in Australia. For Australian road use, compliance is governed by Vehicle Standards Bulletin 1 (VSB 1). It is the user's responsibility to ensure that the Aggregate Trailer Mass (ATM) of their trailer does not exceed the rated capacity of the shackle and that their safety chain configuration (including the use of dual shackles for trailers over 2.5T ATM) meets local state and territory transport laws.

4.3 Intended Use: Our shackles are rated for towing applications. While we provide D Shackles and Bow Shackles that are load-tested, they must not be used for overhead lifting applications unless specifically marked for such use in accordance with AS 2741. Misuse of shackles in recovery or towing scenarios exceeding rated capacities is at the sole risk of the user.

We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household, or per order.

You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.

The "Snap-D" name, logo, and the patented half-turn captive pin design are the intellectual property of Snap-D. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service or any contact on the website through which the service is provided, without express written permission by us.

Certain content, products, and services available via our Service may include materials from third parties. Third-party links on this site may direct you to third-party websites that are not affiliated with us. We are not responsible for examining or evaluating the content or accuracy and we do not warrant and will not have any liability or responsibility for any third-party materials or websites.

Occasionally there may be information on our site or in the Service that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, product shipping charges, transit times, and availability. In the event that any provision of these Terms of Service is determined to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms of Service, such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland, Australia.
