Welcome to Snap-D Australia. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website, located at www.snapd.au, and the purchase of any products from Snap-D Australia ("we", "us", or "our").

By accessing our website or purchasing our products, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must cease using the website and refrain from purchasing our equipment.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. General Provisions

1.1. Snap-D Australia is a provider of innovative automotive and towing equipment, specifically specialising in patented half-turn shackles and related accessories.
1.2. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be published on this page and will take effect immediately upon posting.
1.3. These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

2. Product Information and Compliance

2.1. Fit for Purpose: Snap-D shackles (D-shackles and Bow shackles) are designed specifically for towing and transport applications. They are manufactured from 304 stainless steel and feature a patented captive pin design.
2.2. Australian Standards: Our products are load-tested and certified to comply with Vehicle Standards Bulletin 1 (VSB 1) and are manufactured with reference to AS 2741-2002.
2.3. Ratings: All shackles are marked with an ATM (Aggregate Trailer Mass) rating. It is
the responsibility of the user to ensure that the shackle’s ATM rating meets or exceeds the trailer's total loaded mass.
2.4. The 2.5T Rule: In accordance with Australian towing regulations, trailers with an
ATM exceeding 2.5 tonnes must utilise two safety chains permanently fixed to the trailer. Each chain must be connected to the towing vehicle using an individual, correctly rated shackle.
2.5. Towing vs. Recovery: Unless explicitly stated otherwise, our shackles are rated for towing (rolling loads). Use in high-impact kinetic recovery situations must be in strict accordance with the specific ratings and safety factors provided for that product.

3. Orders and Pricing

3.1. All prices listed on www.snapd.au are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.
3.2. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to product availability, errors in pricing or product descriptions, or suspected fraudulent activity.
3.3. Payment must be made in full at the time of placing an order through our authorised
payment gateways.

4. Shipping and Delivery

4.1. Delivery timeframes provided are estimates only and are subject to the performance of third-party freight and postal services.
