Product Compliance & Safety
All Snap-D shackles sold through this store are:

• ATM Rated: Stamped with "ATM" (Aggregate Trailer Mass) for towing applications. The rated ATM is half the certified maximum destruction mass.
• Transport Compliant: Designed to meet the requirements of AS 2741 and Vehicle Standards Bulletin 1 (VSB 1) for trailer safety chain connections in Australia.
• Material: Manufactured from high-grade 304 Stainless Steel.

Disclaimer: Snap-D shackles are designed and rated specifically for towing applications. They are not rated or intended for overhead lifting applications. Users must ensure that the Aggregate Trailer Mass (ATM) of their trailer does not exceed the certified rating stamped on the shackle. For trailers exceeding 2.5T ATM, dual safety chains and appropriately rated shackles must be used in accordance with Australian towing regulations.

4. Safety Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Towing and recovery activities are inherently dangerous. The "Snap-D" system is designed for speed and safety via a half-turn locking mechanism and captive roll-pin. However:
• Proper Fitment: It is the user’s responsibility to ensure the shackle is correctly engaged (pushed in and turned a full half-turn) and that the shackle size is compatible with the vehicle’s recovery points or trailer’s safety chain.
• Inspections: Users must regularly inspect shackles for signs of wear, deformation, or damage.
